Annually, medication non-adherence leads to multi-billion dollars of avoidable healthcare costs in the US, which accounts for up to 10% of the total healthcare costs. While traditional interventions have improved adherence, they do not solve for all the elements of complex non-adherence issues. Fortunately, a variety of new digital approaches are entering the market to address non-adherence, and will forever change the medication adherence landscape.
