Automating the Collection Process
Integreon’s Intelligent Collections service automates the collection of electronically stored information (ESI), including metadata, from active network systems, either for a specific IP range or across an entire corporate network.
Content can be filtered by file type, custodian, date, and various other parameters including de-duplication based on the SHA-1 algorithm designed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. We can also filter content by file signatures, enabling clients to remove irrelevant files based on digital signatures from the National Software Reference Library (http://www.nsrl.nist.gov).
There is no software to install on target systems, and the appliance platform does not need to join the client’s network domain. Collected files are also saved with their directory structure and metadata preserved on a hot-swappable drive, which can be archived or sent to Integreon for further analysis and production.
Results can be made searchable to locate the type and locations of data on the network. Combining our extensive range of tools with expert analysis from Integreon, clients can also benefit from our Data Cataloging service.
Integreon’s optional Data Cataloging service delivers detailed analysis of the locations and types of electronically stored information residing on a client’s active network and local systems.
