Achieving savings requires understanding and dependably predicting the Total Discovery Cost (TDC). The article describes how Integreon’s Doctane Calculator predicts TDC based on volume, de-duplication rates, lawyer review rates, software cost, lawyer hourly costs, among other factors. In one scenario, using this predictive tool, it was clear that investing more for conceptual review (versus linear review) lowered TDC by more than 50%.
The September-October 2008 issues of the Association of Legal Administrators’s Legal Management magazine published Dealing with Documents: The Pros and Cons of Outsourcing (PDF), an article by Ron Friedmann and Renay Rutter (respectively, Integreon SVP Marketing and VP Legal Sales).
