In difficult times, law firms need to consider innovative ideas. The April 2009 issue of Law Practice Management magazine (an ABA publication) published Signs of Innovative Life in the Practice of Law, a compendium of ideas by several authors. Integreon’s Ron Friedmann wrote two of the pieces: On-site Staffing and Optimizing Virtual Collaboration. Other authors tackle topics such as work-life balance, project management, and strategic planning.

An Integreon-authored article in Metropolitan Corporate Counsel magazine (December 2008) explains that buyers of electronic discovery and litigation support demand cost savings. Achieve Savings By Predicting And Controlling Total Discovery Cost.
Achieving savings requires understanding and dependably predicting the Total Discovery Cost (TDC). The article describes how Integreon’s Doctane Calculator predicts TDC based on volume, de-duplication rates, lawyer review rates, software cost, lawyer hourly costs, among other factors. In one scenario, using this predictive tool, it was clear that investing more for conceptual review (versus linear review) lowered TDC by more than 50%

The Datum Legal - Integreon Merger: The Whole Is Greater Than The Sum Of Its Parts, published in Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, is an interview of Chris Egan by the MCC editor.
