Integreon’s John Croft to Speak at the International Bar Association’s Annual Conference
Distinguished LPO Experts Will Participate in the Panel Session “Rethinking the Law Firm II: Outsourcing of Legal Services”
NEW YORK – October 31, 2011 – Integreon, the largest global provider of integrated legal, research and business solutions, today announced that John Croft, the company’s President, business development and client relationship management, will speak at the International Bar Association’s Annual Conference, held October 30th through November 4th, 2011 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The International Bar Association is the world’s leading organization of international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies.
Croft will participate in the session “Rethinking the law firm II: outsourcing of legal services,” a panel discussion that will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with outsourcing – increasingly a core profitability and efficiency strategy of law firms. To initiate the discussion, Croft will also give a 30-minute presentation that provides an overview of the evolution of outsourcing in the legal profession, the practices and functional areas it encompasses today, the market drivers accelerating its adoption and how outsourcing providers are changing to better meet the needs of the legal profession.
The panel discussion, which will address both local and offshore outsourcing, will take place on Tuesday, November 1st from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. GST at the Sheikh Maktoum Hall A on the Ground Floor of the Dubai Convention and Exhibition Centre. In addition to Croft, distinguished legal process outsourcing (LPO) experts participating in the session will include Catherine Amirfar of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, Stephen Macliver of Sparke Helmore, Som Mandal of Fox Mandal Little, and Dino Wilkinson of Norton Rose (Middle East) LLP. The session will be co-chaired by Stephen Revell, chair of the anti-money laundering legislation implementation working group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Steven Richman, senior vice president, international sales committee at Duane Morris LLP.
“Legal Process Outsourcing is becoming increasingly important to law firms and in-house counsel as clients demand more efficient and innovative ways of delivering legal services,” said Croft. “This discussion will provide conference attendees with a valuable opportunity to educate themselves about the key issues that must be addressed to ensure successful legal services outsourcing.”
A pioneer in the development and execution of LPO services, Croft played a key role in Integreon’s agreement with prestigious U.K. law firm CMS Cameron McKenna. CMS and Integreon signed one of the most significant outsourcing agreements in the history of the legal profession, a milestone which has since been recognized as such by the Financial Times in their “FT Innovative Lawyers 2011” awards (www.ft.com/innovativelawyers).
