Key Objective :-

Our client is seeking an Asset Controller to work within their busy Procurement Department covering all aspects of Asset Control. Your main responsibilities will be to process accurate additions & deletions of company assets within our database and to record and track all transactions related to the company's hard assets, including any tagging or labeling of the items and maintaining the database of inventory of these assets. You will then be required to provide a monthly reconciliation for the Head of Procurement in preparation for reporting to key stakeholders, including the Finance department. Additionally, the controller will conduct timely physical inventories to validate the accuracy of the records, probably quarterly/half yearly, and assist in the reconciliation of all assets, particularly IT assets, against the main asset register ensuring they are in the correct locations.

Regular travel to other offices located within the UK will be required.

A keen eye for detail is essential for this role, as is an organised and flexible approach to work.

The Asset Controller will be joining at the early stages of the creation of a true asset register and database for this forward thinking and diverse Organisation. It is therefore essential that the successful Asset Controller is willing to initially undertake considerable repetitive data collection and analysis activities.

The daily activities of the Asset Controller typically will involve:

- Use of spreadsheets, IT software, and one or more database applications.

- Record any acquisitions or sales of assets, filing any forms related to the transactions.

- Prepare reports for management.

- Work with any internal or external personnel to ensure the protection of those assets and the accuracy of the record keeping.

Essential experience of the Asset Controller:

- Exceptional attention to detail.

- Strong data analysis skills and experience.

- Ability to organise and plan, then follow through on that plan in a timely manner.

- Some information technology understanding.

- Strong Excel skills.

- Effective writing and communication skills to prepare reports and co-ordinate with other departments.

- Maintaining the confidentiality of Company records.

- Good communication, organisation and initiative are essential to the success of this role.
